Hailing from the sunny United Kingdom, you can imagine how happy I am to be living in L.A. Moving my body and being active is my happy place. I live for it. So even if you don’t. I hope my enthusiasm and energy helps you to start getting a taste of the happiness it brings me, and in turn will bring you. Not all trainers see it this way but I believe my job is to help you reach your goals, in the safest and most injury free way possible. It’s not about just making you sweat. It’s about tailoring a workout and tweaking all the different variables of training regularly enough, so you reach those goals in the most enjoyable and effective way.

My Approach

It all starts with an assessment. This helps me to see where you’re at, we can speak about your goals, learn what it is you like, what you don’t like, see how hard I can push and at what intensity. At the end of this session I go away and give you a full breakdown of any muscle imbalances you may have and all the metrics we have taken at that time. It gives us a physical way to track your progress. From here, if we decide to work together, I’ll then have a better idea of how to build your plan, using modalities and exercises I think you’ll enjoy and how often we will look to change the plan to force the adaptions you’re looking for.

I specialize in fixing muscle imbalances and getting your body aligned first and foremost, so your body is ready to reach whatever goal it is you’re working towards. For example. If your goal is hypertrophy (Muscle building) but you regularly feel tight in the shoulders and your range of motion is limited. It would not be a good idea to have you pushing heavy weights from day 1. This will only lead to poor form, further exacerbating your current problems, making the tightness worse and give sub par results. You don’t build a house on sand so why do we think we can push our bodies to it’s limit without the foundations in place.

If you have aches or pains, continue to feel tight or injure regularly in the same area, then the way I work is the way for you. I have helped previous clients through shoulder impingement, sciatic pain, wrist pain, knee pain, migraines, plantar fasciitis and lower back pain just to name a few. And if this isn’t you and you are currently working with great form and alignment and have more performance goals, then we can push hard from day 1!

Although I don’t see myself as a drill sergeant, I will push you, but we will be working from the level in which YOU start at, no one else’s. Pushing you too far beyond that too soon is not only dangerous but not enjoyable. My job is to help you start building healthy routines so that the work we do infuses the rest of your life, and not just for quick changes, but changes that will last a lifetime. Helping you to create a healthy relationship with exercise and food so you can enjoy the amazing capabilities your body has to offer.
